Kristin Parker – Outstanding Volunteer Award!
At Conrad Siegel we want to provide excellent service to our clients by building long lasting, and trusting relationships, while also being proactive in serving the community around us.
That is why we are so excited to congratulate our own Kristin Parker for receiving the Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Panther Ram Foundation! Kristin is receiving this award for her amazing work with the Central Dauphin NutriPacks Program. Congratulations!
About the NutriPacks Program:
The NutriPacks Program distributes food to Central Dauphin School District families in need. Students are identified as potential participants in the program and NutriPacks discreetly reaches out to their families in an effort to maintain participants’ confidentiality. NutriPacks is currently serving over 500 families who receive a backpack packed with food every Friday during the school year. The food ensures our students are receiving healthy meals over the weekends.
About Kristin:
Kristin Parker has been an active volunteer with the NutriPacks program since 2011. The entire Parker family has been engaged in volunteering with the program since her boys, now 5th and 7th grade students at CDSD, were in pre-school and kindergarten. She has served in many different roles – bag packer, Week 2 packing team leader, Rutherford distribution, data coordinator and Advisory Board member. The program has meant a great deal to her over the years, first as an opportunity to teach her own children the value of volunteering, but ultimately to see first-hand the impact it has and help it provides to those receiving the back packs.
When she’s not volunteering with NutriPacks, Kristin serves as a Benefit Consultant helping her clients with their employee benefit plans. She also volunteers her time with Doc’s roller hockey program and the Jr Typhoons travel roller teams. In her downtime, she spends most of her time watching her boys play sports – hockey, baseball, basketball and golf.
About the Panther Ram Foundation:
The Panther Ram Foundation supports programs to directly benefit our students in the Central Dauphin Schools. With the cost of public education today and almost 11,000 students we need to use the Foundation to provide funding for essential educational needs. This can be from the extracurricular activities, enhanced learning activities or providing food for our children to have healthy nutrition over a weekend.
The Panther Ram Foundation supports programs such as East High Band uniforms, Smartboards in classrooms, NutriPacks Program, Learning Grants for Teachers, (6) $1000 scholarships for seniors at CD East, CD and Dauphin County Technical School given annually, George “Speed” Ebersole Field Scoreboard, Raku Pottery supplies and summer workshop for middle school students and Green Power Club support. These are just a few ways we can provide for our students to have the BEST public school experience. We had it, now we want better for our kids.
We envision many new areas for financial needs, including but not limited to extra-curricular activities, technical advances in the classroom, scholarships, and much more!
