Job Summary

At Conrad Siegel, the qualified candidate is a motivated, self-starter who displays a history of strong academic performance allowing them to complete all job responsibilities independently and with merit. The Network Technician reports to the Director of Information Technology and is responsible to perform regular system backups, troubleshoot computer and phone issues, and monitor network security. The Network Technician will assist in setting up new computers, rebuilding existing computers, setting up new user profiles, and maintaining proper documentation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving PC, phone and printer issues
  • Monitor IT Support email account
  • Setup new employees’ PC, user profile, and phone
  • Complete regular backups including replacing drives, maintaining documentation of drives, and restoring files
  • Assist with building or rebuilding new PCs with software
  • Setup and provide maintenance on laptops and projectors
  • Update laptops monthly with Windows updates
  • Monitor network security
  • Update the printer usage study
  • Relocate employee equipment when necessary

Physical Requirements

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to sit for several hours at a time. The employee must be able to kneel, bend, and crawl to install, maintain, and replace equipment. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to operate a computer and telephone. Work environment includes an indoor office with uniform temperatures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree, preferred
  • Certificate in computer technology or related certification, preferred
  • Experience with computer network maintenance
  • Understanding of computer hardware
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desire to learn and adapt to changing technology
  • Willingness and ability to work with end users

Compensation

This position is full-time exempt and requires an average of 37.5 hours per week. Conrad Siegel offers a competitive salary that is commensurate with education and experience.
