Job Summary

The qualified candidate is a motivated, self-starter who is able to complete all job responsibilities independently and with merit. The Document Scanner reports to the Human Resources Generalist. The Document Scanner is responsible for scanning files into a computer system and traveling to an offsite location to collect requested files.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scan files into a computer system
  • Sort and prepare files to be scanned
  • Retrieve requested files from an offsite location
  • Create file codes for new clients in computer system
  • Complete special projects as assigned in an accurate and timely manner


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to transport boxes of files
  • Organized with great attention to detail
  • Computer literate

Physical Requirements

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to sit for several hours at a time. The employee is regularly required to operate a computer and scanner. The employee must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds. Work environment includes an indoor office with uniform temperatures.


This is a full-time hourly position that requires an average of 37.5 hours per week. Days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. The pay rate is $15.00 an hour and mileage used to retrieve files from an offsite location will be reimbursed.
